I still got a few maps I made that I haven't release yet, If I polish some up, I might release them. I have tried gm fork but its just a little too empty for my liking. Its not detailed, pretty ugly and I feel like people only play it for nostalgia. I might give Gmod mapping a break because I wanna give other games a try. They’re both big and really good Gm bigcity is specifically a map that I dont like. Most textures came from other games like No More Room in Hell, L4D2 and Beginner's Guide. I made some custom props with Propper and added alot of custom textures (Which is already in the map, so you dont need to download any custom textures). This map includes: 3 houses, 1 decently sized apartment building and a pool area that includes 1 decently sized pool and 2 hot tubs. The biggest map size possible designed for the game mode 'GModZ'. I wasnt happy with where it was going, so I finally made a layout a scenary that I was happy with. So I had to re-do the layout of the map like 2-3 times, thats why it took me so long.
I started working on it before gm_castaway, I first had a futuristic city in mind with some Batman The Animated Series influence, but after a while I decided to go all out and make a gotham city map (since there wasn't a sandbox gotham map in the workshop).
Heavily inspired by Batman: The Animated Series (My fav as a kid)įinally I'm done with this map, this one took too long in my opinion. Here: The Sandboxifier addon can convert HL2 Campaign maps into a Sandbox map by removing NPCs, event triggers, invisible collisions, level transition, etc. Wander the crime infested dark mellow streets of Gotham City, Where justice isn't served with ease. I know Im 4 months late, but I got a lot of maps that can fit your budget.
